365 Thursday

Over the last few weeks I've been searching out other blogs that are featuring a Project 365. It's great to see others that have taken on the challenge and to browse through all their fantastic pictures as well. Although I sure love looking at my little pumpkin day after day I thought it might be nice to send you on your way to some other 365ers.

Wordless Wednesday

February 8

{only wordless because I have nothing to say!}

101 in 1001

I've been working on a "Project Zero" or a "101 in 1001" for a while now.
In the last couple months I've been able to cross of a few more things!

64. Have a real fondue dinner. This is just the dessert but we had chicken, beef, mushrooms and a ton of veggies before this. So delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about it right now.

57. Make as many homemade versions of food as possible. I can add butter, pasta, alfredo sauce and tomato soup to this list!

97. Learn to make pasta. Super easy and EXTREMELY tasty.

101. I made cookies and cream ice cream (no pictures because we were too busy eating it...)

My list is now 30.7% done!

The house is slowly getting better. More boxes packed. More walls painted. More baseboards cut.

I started putting photos from my Project 365 into an album. I want to print them all out and have a complete album. No scrapbooking or photobook. Just a plain old album to flip through. I'm loving it so far.

Hubs and I had a little date night to see "Sitter" at the cheap theatre for $4. The movie was RIDICULOUSLY loud until Roy went and asked them to turn it down. Also the 4 people sitting beside us reeked of weed to the point that 4 people went and complained and we had an employee standing in the theatre the whole time watching them. Good times. And the movie was pretty hilarious.

Speaking of hilarity I'm reading "Assholes Finish First" by Tucker Max. Its a "one more page, just one more page" kind of book. If you have a sense of humour and aren't easily offended (aka don't have objections to swearing, drunkenness and meaningless sex) you need to read it. That's what I'm going to go do now.

All Caught Up

I've caught up on my editing of my Project 365. I'm sure I'll get behind again but for now it feels great!
We spent more time at our house today making it "sellable". One room fixed which means only three more to go. Yes there are only four rooms in our house!

Every day Ella is getting better and better at sitting on her own. The smarty pants figured out how to drink with a straw tonight. She's just too tiny to lift a sippy cup but we're ready to start transitioning off the bottle.

At her six month appointment last week my little monkey was a whole 13 lbs 7 ounces and 25 inches long. 9th percentile for weight and 25th for height. But my doctor said as long as there is chub to grab she's fine. She's just petite.

It has saved me tremendously on clothing. She's still in 0-3m sizes. But socks still don't stay on her feet because of her little bird ankles. So she lives in tights and onsies. Looks pretty darn comfortable to me!

A 365 Update plus a little bit more

I'm almost caught up with the 365 updates, I'm hoping to keep posting them on a daily basis or every two days instead of having to do all these massive updates!

Life has been a little out of sorts lately. We're in the process of getting our house ready to sell so we've moved over to my inlaws. Attempting to do renos in 660 square feet with a 6 month old is no fun. We'll be staying here while we attempt to sell the house as well. I've never done it but I can only imagine how challenging it would have to be to get out of the house with an hours notice with Ella. Not to mention keeping the house spotless at all times. Way too many headaches.

Ella has her own little space in the "office" with her very own closet! I can't even tell you how excited I am to put her clothes onto tiny hangers, TINY HANGERS!

Homebuyer's tip: Don't buy a house without closets. It sucks. Like a lot.

We're going back and forth to our house every day working on it. There is not too much to do but with the hubs being out of a job for the moment its pretty much the perfect time to work on it.

Hmm I just realized my updates were out of order. Scheduling issues I guess...

How I View: New Beginnings

Alrighty, lets try this again!
So after some technical difficulties I managed to delete this post even though I had it fully done 4 days ago. FRUSTRATING!
For the next 12 months I'll be linking up with 11 other women for a monthly challenge called "How I View________"
This month's topic was New Beginnings.
Here is how I viewed New Beginnings in January.
Ella's exploring the world around her- everything is new to her!

Sitting up lends a whole new view of the world!

I did my first "real" photo session this month- of a newborn. So newness all around :)

Ella has begun to enjoy food this month (even though you might not be able to tell by this picture!)

We've found the house we want to build! So we're in the process of getting our house up for sale- one of the most exciting new beginnings of the month!

Please head on over to Kelly's blog to check out her post!

Favourite Photo from January
(ps where did January go????)
I don't get in front of the camera as often as I should so this "self portrait" of Ella and I is one that I love. I definitely need to get a remote though- this was hard using the tripod and timer!!!!
